My name is Larry Root. Reguarding your George, I have a grandfather that was born in NY in 1821, Zebulon Simmons,
married Mary Annetta Brundage in 1846, she was born 9 Mar 1829 in Saratoga Springs, New York, died 3 Mar 1918 in Little River Kansas. My grandfather Granville Eugene Simmons was born in Winterset, Iowa on 26 Jan 1871. I have no history of this line ever being in IL. but George and Zebulon both being born close together I thought maybe there is a connection here.
