Message Board Post:

I am looking for more info on the following marriage and clarification on the town & county:

According to the Wisconsin divorcee decree:
Johan Gottlieb Schuler b. Wurtemberg Germany 1/3/1841 arrival in NY in March 1867-married in Johnsville, Dutchess Co. NY 5/11/1867 to Mary (?Wagner). They then came to WI 7/15/1867. He (aka. Gottlieb) became US citizen 10/16/1872 Calumet Co, WI.

Am a bit confused as the USGENWEB site states that
Johnsville is an old name that was changed to Bouckville in Madison Co. Don't know if divorce decree has incorrect town, incorrect county or if both have changed, etc.

Also looking for leads to where specifically in NY the siblings of Johann Gottlieb resided before going to WI.

Parents are believed to be Ferdinand Schuler and Mary Altinger.

John Schuler b. Wurtemberg Germany 11/15/1849, arrival in NY 5/1865, became US citizen 11/1/1873 Chilton, Calumet Co, WI - married Wilhelminia PLANK in 1875. John d. 12/20/1918 leaving behind wife, 2 Sons Fred of Kaukauna and Robert of Milwaukee. Daughter - Mrs. William Krause of Brillion, WI.
