Betts Chatterton b. 1764 in Westchester County, New York and d. Rose, Wayne County, New York. Betts Chatterton married Mary Valance.

Anyone have information on Mary VALANCE? Is there a relation to John Valance?

In 1790 John Valance is living in North Hempstead, Long Island, New York with one son under 10 years of age and 1 male of 16 age and upward (this is John Valance himself) and 5 free white females in which two we know to be Elisabeth Southard-Valance (the mother) and daughter Hannah Valance-Benedict.

In the 1790 Census we find Betts Chatterton living in Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York.
We also find Elisabeth Southard-Valance's father, Richard Southard living nearby Betts and Mary Valance-Chatterton in Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York.

Joseph Chatterton is the son of son of Mary Valance and Betts Chatterton. (Notice the name change to Chatterson attached is photo of Joseph from Ancient faces.)
