Where is (or was) Phillips Parish? I have a reference which says that on 29 Jan 1744/45, "John Calkins of Phillips Parrish (Precinct ?) Dutchess County, New York" sold his land in Norwich, CT to his son James.

Norwich was the former residence of John Calkins. Evidently he moved to someplace in Dutchess County, but it must have been after 1714 because he was not in the 1714 Duchess County census.
