Pat,, I have been chasing a marriage for years. Amasa Travis married Phoebe
Baker Dec 1800 in Carmel , NY ( Dutchess County). I have the date they were
married by a justice of peace Thatcher Hopkins. The problem is NO parents
for Amasa. The marriage reord might show this. Suggestions??? Please
anything is appreciated. Inforamtion below to aid you. Thank you .

Died: 16 Sept. 1858, Canisteo twp. Steuben County, New York
Married: 14 Dec. 1800, Carmel, Putnam County, New York
PHEBE BAKER daughter of Samuel Baker and Esther Field Custin
Born: 25 Dec. 1783, Carmel. Another source gives 21 Mar. 1784.
Died: 14 May 1888, buried on her husband's farm on Talbot Creek Road.
