LOTS OF SURNAMES in this post - so you might want to read even if you are
not interested in the "Neglected Tomb".
I believe I found the Probate File for the correct Mary HAWLEY - Mrs. Lewis
HAWLEY whose husband according to the subject newspaper article previously
posted built the Tomb/Vault - She left no immediate family but many extended
family members - so maybe this will help someone or help me find the vault.
This was a very thick file and I did not review it all.

Witnesses were Edward M. LAWTON & Alice O. LAWTON both of Hibernia, Dutchess
County, NY
I. Mary HAWLEY of the Town of Pleasant Valley in the County of Dutchess and
State of New York being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and
declare this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to
say:
First-I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.
Second. I give, devise and bequeath to Isaphene LAUGHLIN the use and income
of my real estate upon which I reside during the term of her natural life,
at and upon her decease I give aforesaid real estate to Belle H. BRUNDAGE
the DAUGHTER of Isaphene absolutely.
My FAMILY VAULT I wish my executor to reserve with sufficient land with
egress and ingress and with sufficient money, at least one hundred dollars,
depositeD at the Poughkeepsie Savings Bank in the name of my estate, the
income to be used to care for and keep the same in order and upon the death
of my executor and Trustee to appoint some on in his place to carry out the
provisions of my will.
I give and bequeatH to Isaphene LAUGHLIN all my household goods of whatever
name or kind and all my wagons harness and all the contents of my barn. All
the rest and remainder of my property I wish divided according to the laws
of the State of New York.
Lastly, I hereby appoint my Friend Edward W. Lawton, sole executor of this
my last Will and Testament.

Probate Petition dated Dec. 16, 1912 says the Mary died 10 December 1912 in
the Town of Pleasant Valley and her estimated Real Property was $1000 and
her estimated Personal Property was $2000.

I did note another dociment in the file where it appears that Benjamin Hicks
questioned the validity of Mary Hawley's will but I did not copy it - as I
said this was a rather large file. Mary's will was proved and admitted to
probate 18 February 1913.

I did find a James E. Laughlin age 58 - Proprietor of a Livery Stable -
w/wife Isaphene age 58 - Mother of 1 w/ 1 living, married 29 years and
widowed daughter Isabelle Brundage age 27 - mother of 0 w/0 living -
residing in the same household in the 1910 Census, Roselle Boro, Union
County, NJ.

On a side note in regard to Judson HUSTED mentioned in the deed previously
posted.
He died 9 April 1897
leaving
Maud A. HUSTED of Pleasant Valley, his widow
and Elmer E. HUSTED of Wassaic, NY, a nephew.
The probate petition was filed by Maud A. HUSTED and Benjamin VAN WAGNER,
the executors named in his 27 October 1896 Will, on 23 Oct. 1897.
The witnesses to his will were:
Edward W. LAWTON and Annie E. LAWTON both of Hibernia, Dutchess Co., NY
