The following are listed as members of the German Singing Society of Buffalo
(NY), the 'Liedertafel', in 1868. This was the oldest singing society in
Buffalo. The names are from a composite photo of the members on page 104,
"History of the Germans of Buffalo and Erie County", Reineche & Zesche, pub.
1898. There is a copy of this book in the Special Collections reference
section of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, Buffalo, NY. (There
also were eight members un-named in the photo.) The book features parallel
German and English text.
