Cynthia Van Ness forwarded Margaret Tufts one-liners:
>> Genealogists never die, they just lose their roots.
Or, "Old genealogists never die; they just lose their census".
>> Life is lived forwards, but understood backwards.
I'm finding this becomes more true every day!
>> Research: What I'm doing, when I don't know what I'm doing.
Interestingly, this is almost a direct quote from Werner Von Braun,
the rocket developer, when someone asked him what research was. If
we knew what it was, we wouldn't be doing it.
