I found declarations of intent (naturalization) records for the Superior
Court, Buffalo, Erie Co, on LDS microfilms 0981585 (1839-1866) and 0981586
(1867-1890). There may be more available, but those were the dates that
interested me. You can order these films (small cost for postage and rental)
for viewing at any LDS Family History Center.

I did find some people I recognized in those records, but what I had hoped to
find--hometowns as opposed to just the country of origin--was not usually
given. However, I did find that in several cases in-laws made their
declarations at the same time, so I found groups of relatives together, even
if they had different surnames.
