Lately, on this list and on others, people have jumped on line and written to the lists about their trials and tribulations with viruses....
If you have a virus on your machine, trust me, it will not be fixed in one stroke of a delete key!
It will take lots of time to correct and then to verify that your files are all okay....
LOTS OF TIME and likely LOTS OF TIME at the wrong time in your life!
And If you do delete something that should not have been deleted, it will not just be re-added without something, somewhere down the line coming back to haunt you!

Why would ANYONE believe a stranger and delete anything from their computer just because someone else sent it to you without checking with a knowledgeable - not just a FRIEND- person in the technical field!

Please, treat your machine like your money!

Don't give ANY of it away without checking and then only for good reason!

And, don't go about passing bad checks..... ie spreading viruses or hoaxes by sending emails!

Especially, don't be getting us all sick by sending a sick note to one of our lists!
Just sending it could very possibly infect us all....especially if the virus is a new one not yet detectable!
If you have a virus or a hoax, keep it to yourself....
there is no need to send off an email to tell ALL OF us that your machine is sick!

Just stay in bed, drink plenty of water and come back cured....And don't tell us how you feel unless we ask.....

I may make some unhappy with this note, but gee whez...

If you feel that you must send out a note regarding a virus or hoax.... look at it this way, someone that you sent a note to that was infected could be replying to your note after your computer was just fixed! AND POOF, you have the virus again... so a way to stop a virus is to stop SENDING it...
