There has been a lot of discussion of Jung surnames lately, and I know there
were both Alsatian and German Jungs in Erie County early on.
I have the names of the children of
SEBASTIAN JUNG (1796-1862) and ROSALIA LUTZ (1795-?), both from Dauendorf,
Bas Rhin, (Alsace). Immigrated @1832
Francisca Jung (3/5/1820-?) married Jacob Phillip Heinz and then Armand
Phillips
Ignatz Jung (12/3/1821) m. Philomena Boslar from Canton, Ohio, son
Laurentius, 1851
Cyriac (12/15/1823) m. Maria Anna Florian
Michael Jung (12/8/1825 12/13/1840)
**Anthony Jung (YOUNG) (1/17/1829-2/9/1906) married Barbara Gertrude Pfeffen
(9/1831- 3/8/1901) she was born in Buffalo.
Maria Magdalena Jung (5/30/1830-
Johann Jung (10/12/1832-?
Alois Jung (6/1/1836- I think he went to Ohio, but have not found
him.
Rosa Jung (9/30/1839-?
My line is through Anthony Young, who moved to Fremont, Ohio. Rosa, Anthony
and Ignatz were living in Ohio when their father died in 1862.
I dont know anything about the descendants of any of Anthonys brothers
and sisters, but maybe someone else who is looking for JUNG/YOUNG
information might connect.
Hope springs eternal!
