The earliest I find the Cool/Coole/Cole family in Fulton is in 1792 when
Isaac and Abraham Cole were part of the first congregation of the Dutch
Reformed Church. I find many Cool families in the part of Montgomery
County, north of the Mohawk River, on the census, in marriage and deed
records.

I am trying with great effort to find out more about Peter Cool and his son
William Cool who lived in Stratford township, north of the town of
Stratford on what may be Sawmill Road. W. Cool's name appears on a Stratford
township map.

These Cools seem to identify with Little Falls, Salisbury Township,
Herkimer County.

Any help on families of this name will be appreciated. I THINK that
Peter's father must be the Abraham above. The children of Isaac and his
brother Andrew have all been identified, many of them born around 1790.

Any help would be appreciated. Even information about persons known to
descend from Isaac or Andrew. I am at the moment trying to study ALL
families of this name in Fulton. It would be wonderful to find someone who
has worked on this. Our Cooles were in Texas by 1900, but they still carry
hopes of being reconnected to their New York family. dori
