I am not farmilar with the location of the towns and villages of Fulton Co.
John Buchanan was born in Scotland about 1779 -
His wife was born in Vermont
Their son , John M.Buchanan , was born in Mayfield , in 1814 he was
a farmer and located in Vail`s Mills about 1872 -----
Archibald Buchanan was in Mayfield in 1850 -- his wife was Sarah
and he had 2 daughters , Elizabeth and Amanda --
Archibald Buchanan of Gloversville was collecting a pension in 1867
Residents of Mayfield - 1869 - 1870
Mayfield - John L. Buchanan - Vail`s Mills - Farmer
Broadalbin - Archibald Buchanan - Shoemaker
Johnstown - John G. Buchanan --- Miller
In the 1937 Directory ( of Fulton Co. ) the following are listed
in Gloversville - Buchanan , Charles - Glove cutter - 6 Chyrch St.
in Gloversville - Buchanan , George A. - printer - 56 W. Fulton

at 18 Fon Clair
Buchanan , Donald M. clk Grand Union - 16 S. William
I think that the John Buchanan born in Scotland may be the father of
my ancestor , George Robert Buchanan born -10 Oct 1827 in
Canada and was married in Derby CT. in 1851 ------
Any information on the Early Buchanan family in Fulton County
New York and where they are buried will be greatly appreciated ---
