I don't know if it helps, but I have a "Mosher" in my Manzer family tree:

Charles MOSHER (b. 20 Dec 1892 Johnstown, Fulton Cty, NY died Feb 1974 in Mayfield Twp., son of Charles R. (Abt 1871 Fulton Cty, NY) and (m. Abt 1890) Luella C. DECKER MOSHER (8 Dec 1872 Johnstown, Fulton Cty, NY) Daughter of John Henry & Marion E. LEONARD DECKER died Feb 1974. He was married after 1925 (2nd) to my Great Aunt Mildred MANZER WILLE MOSHER (b. 12 Nov, 1895 in Northampton, Fulton Cty, NY died Feb 1966 Mayfield Twp., daughter of George M. & Anna CROWDER MANZER. Aunt Mildred and Uncle Charlie lived on Bemus Rd at the corner of Black Street in Mayfield Twp. when I was a kid and grew lots of flowers in their gardens all around their home. She always called all of us kids (Locke's, Bezio's, Putman's, Graham's etc.) around to the back door off the kitchen to give us lemonade on hot summer days.) Uncle Charlie made his WWI Registration Card in North Bush, Fulton Cty on 5 June, 1917. He was a Laborer in a lumber camp and single at that time. He served in the war a!
nd was gassed and suffered shell shock from which he didn't recover throughout his long life.

In researching this family, I came across:

Civil War Note:Mosher, Ephraim D.
10th New York Cavalry I
Private
Northampton, Fulton Cty, NY
Discharged March 4, 1863.
