Thank you, Howard! Okay, I'll share, but remember, you asked for it. :))

Here are some of what appears to be my Osborn and Lyon Ancestors.
Although I'm relatively sure of the Lineage from Zalmon Lyon back in time, I
am not convinced he had a daughter named Ann Lyon, yet, as indicated by
Dorothy Draper Morgan's research for LDS.
Also, I am unsure of the link from Moses Osborn to Josiah Osborn, his
supposed father who was son of Jedediah of EastHampton, Long Island.
For one reason, among others, there are FIVE Moses Osborn listed in the
1800 Census, and three of them Heads of Household in Connecticut.
There needs to be more research done on the Revolutionary War vets and
other records, and it is so difficult and time consuming to get records from
the National Archives these days. It has taken me THREE years to just get
pension files for THREE ancestors of the Civil War era!

But, The Lineage List of Osborn back before Moses and the Lineage before
and including Zalmon is fairly trustworthy as far as they go, and
well substantiated by Town and Church records and Genealogist Donald
Jacobus. (See Sources at end, below.)

The information I am here seeking is for any Church or Vital or Biographical
information I can locate for Moses Osborn and Ann (LYON) Osborn in the
Fingers Lake area, Cayuga County or even Buffalo, NY. (But that's another
List...)

PS- I have some more interesting details from Wills and genealogical
sketches, if anyone is seriously interested in some of the LYON and
OSBORN people here.

This STARTS with my mother's GGG Grandfather, Josiah OSBORN,
who walked his family to Oregon Territories from Illinois in 1845 and helped
them survive the Whitman Indian Massacre of November 1847 near Walla
Walla (Now in Washington state). He was a Wagon Builder and a builder of
Grist Mills and Saw Mills.

1. Josiah Osborn, born May 1, 1809 in South Britain, New Haven, CT
(Some say, Cayuga Co., NY; some say Niagra County, NY); died October
19, 1881 in Halsey, Linn Co., Oregon. He was the son of 2. Moses Osborn
and 3. Anne LYON, (First wife of Moses Osborn of South Britain).
He married Margaret Findley on June 6, 1834 in Warren Co., Illinois.
She was born January 30, 1815 in Clark Co., Indiana
and died November 24, 1875 in Linn County, Oregon.
She was the daughter of Alexander Findley and Agnes Nancy Bolton Ritchey.

2. Moses Osborn, born May 13, 1782 in South Britian, New Haven, CT;
died August 30, 1862 in Carrollton, Greene, IL. He was the son of 4. Josiah
Osborn and 5. Dolly Johnson. He married 3. Anne Lyon Bef. 1806 in Prob.
CT; Prob. either Trumbull or Southbury..
(Note: Moses Osborn married second, Judith Francis of Guernsey, Channel
Islands, England about 1813 in probably New York State.)
3. Anne Lyon, born Abt. 1784 in CT; died Abt. 1813 in CT or NY. She
was the daughter of 6. Zalmon Lyon and 7. Charity Nichols. She probably
died in New York about 1813.
