Audrey,
I thought the same thing, after sending that query out.
I am interested in how Gretta's husband might have been related to The
Thurlow Weed, who was born in Greene County. Thurlow & Gretta Waters were
living in Brooklyn, I think, in 1930, and I wonder what brought them up
here.
I know it wasn't unusual for chldren to be named after presidents, famous
people, etc, but Thurlow, with that being said, wasn't one of the more
popular names.
I seem to also remember a story that the Sleeping Beauty stone itself was to
have been buried, and wasn't.Maybe that stone was to be buried when their
stone was done, and Thurlow was interred.
Such secrets and stories (and sometimes answers)cemeteries hold.........
