Received this request regarding links -- hope I'm not out of bounds here,

I siteowner has not responded to me, but someone else gave me very good

"As to protocol for linking to someone else's site -- there is none... if an
url exists "out there", you can link to it... but remember it might go dead in
future or be renamed etc -- see tools in Cyndi's kit (link below) to monitor
those things.

"It is a courtesy to let a fellow genealogist know, perhaps... but nothing
more.

"Some websites even make it easy to link to them if you want a link on your
