Looking for information on the family of John PARKER b. 5 April 1759
at Shirley, Mass. Around 1774, he moved with his older brother, Abel
PARKER, to Maine, where he learned the trade of blacksmith and stayed
two years. John, had joined the main army under General Washington,
on Long Island. He was made Sergeant. After the war he married Lucy
BLANCHARD and they moved to Windham, Vermont. Around 1806, they moved
to New York, in 1822 purchased land at Jefferson County New York
Rodman).
They had seven children: five boys and two girls. Sometime after the
mother Lucy had died John married 2nd to Fanny NEWTON, sister to
Nehemiah NEWTON.
I would like to learn the names of all the children of John and Lucy
(BLANCHARD) PARKER, one son was Abel PARKER. John died in 1840.

Thank-You
