I am interested in obtaining any information regarding the heritage of
George
Anderson, husband of Emeline _______. He was the father of Warren Anderson,
born 2-18-1840. George was born 11-18-1818 and died on 10-12-1815.

This is a long shot, but I too am looking for an Anderson: John ANDERSON.
What I have is an old scrap of handwritten paper that certifies the marriage
of John JOHNSTON of Jefferson County, and "Sarah MC CONNELL of Garniersville
in the County of Leeds in the Province of Canada, spinster" who were married
12/5/1859 in the "township of Elizabethton at the brides uncle's Mr John
ANDERSON". This is followed by the name James Smith, and under that
Prespyterian[sic] Minister Ponckider. It's witnessed by John Anderson and W.
H. Dousley.
If anyone has any information about any of these people, I'd surely love to
know. Can anyone tell me if Elizabethton Township is or was in Jefferson
County? Does anyone know about Garniersville in Canada? I can't find it on
a map. And the Presbyterian minister - can anyone put this together with a
church where I might find records?
Thanks in advance for any help.
