Mrs. Maude M'Intosh Dead at 81

Mrs. Maude Eden McIntosh, 81, widow of Alfred W. McIntosh, formerly of
Watertown, died tat 8:30 p.m. at the home of a step-daughter, Mrs. Francis R
Mattimore, Indian River road, town of Croghan.

Long in poor health with a diabetic condition, Mrs. McIntosh had lived at
the Mattimore home since she underwent amputation of a leg in 1962 at Mercy
Hospital.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Northam and Fox funeral home, with
Rev. J. Edwin Ring, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial
will be in North Watertown cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Surviving besides her step-daughter, Mrs. Francis R. (Iva M.) Mattimore,
Castorland R.D., are two stepsons, Ross W. McIntosh, Ottawa, Ont., and
Robert G. McIntosh, Winsenucia (sic), Nev.

Mrs. McIntosh was born in North Tonawanda, Feb. 17, 1886, a daughter of
Joseph and Mary Eden. She came to Watertown in 1920 and had worked for
several families as a domestic. In 1925, she married Alfred. W. McIntosh, a
native of Williamsburg, Ont., who was a 24-year employee of J. B. Wise Inc.,
when he died on March 1, 1941.
