In the 1940 - 1955 there were several stores on Kings Highway, on the same side as the Avalon Movie Theater. There was Leed's Drug Store, Cone's Ice Cream, and a deli.

Can anyone remember the name of the deli and any other stores in this area? I am specifically interested in stores between East 18th Steet and Ocean Avenue.

I also found two picture on the web. Both were shot from the BMT station about 1959. They are looking from East 16th towards the Avalon and Ocean Avenue.
