I am looking for information regarding my Meagher family from Tipperary. Thomas Meagher married MaryAnn McClure, no dates. BUT they had one son that I know of, James Francis Meagher,(my great grandfather) born to them in Ireland. On James' death certificate, he died at 56 yrs old in 1904 in Brooklyn, NY. BUT on James' Civil War Pension papers, he enlisted Sept. 1861 at the age of 21yrs. He it definitely the same man. So, there is an eight year gap, so please remember this when trying to see if this is one of your Meagher family members. James married Abbey Murley about the late 1860's early 70's. It is believed they had they had three children, one being Edward, no dates. She died and then in 1882 married Catherine Donavan. Catherine came over, from Ireland, around 1874. And they had 6 children, Catherine 1884-1972, Margaret (m: Wm Wickett), Anna (m: Bertram McDowell), Elizabeth 1895-1972(my grandmother, m: Geo. Gallaudet), Abigail (m: Charles Alberts) and Joseph A.!
1900-1988. Uncle Joey was married twice. The first is said to be Mary Frick and the second is said to be Mary Fishback.
