I forgot to answer your question. My great-grandfather was Giovanni Altomare from Rogliano Cosenza. He came over on the Massalia or Massilo ship in October 1902.
First Name: Giovanni
Last Name: Altomari
Ethnicity: Italian
Last Place of Residence: Strongoli
Date of Arrival: November 03, 1902
Age at Arrival: 29y Gender: M Marital Status: M
Ship of Travel: Massilia
Port of Departure: Naples
Manifest Line Number: 0015
His last name was written as Altomari. I know that it is the correct ship because his naturalization papers said he came over 1902 on the Massilo. The ship record stated he was going to Brooklyn to see a cousin, the name I cannot read --looks like Darius???
If you are able to get into Ellisislandrecords.org and see the record, perhaps you could help me determine what the name is and address. Attached is a screen shot of the line from the record. His record is located on line 15.
Thanks
