I've hit a brick wall with what I can do with the Net and the mail to find my Farrell clan. I'm coming to New York to knock down that wall!

I'll be spending a lot of time at the Municipal Archives. Does Worth Street have the same setup--can I go there and browse?

What kind of genealogy resources do the Brooklyn and NYC libraries have (my ancestors are all from Brooklyn). Which library should I be concentrating on?

I'll be visiting St. Michael's and Visitation churches, where my ancestors were baptised.

I'm dealing with a common name and some fairly scant information, so I don't know if I have enough to do any courthouse-type searches.

Any other suggestions?
