I circumvented the $90 fee by hiring a professional genealogist. If you know
the exact death date, it should be fairly easy to find. I believe they only
charge the $90 if they do the lookup for you. If you go in person, you just
pay for the copies as you do the lookup yourself. You could check this out.
It may be a cheaper alternative for you.
