Dear Kat,

Thank you for the offer to send me pamphlets and to take photos at the Green-Wood Cemetery. Its very kind of you. However, I already have some......I ended up paying a professional photographer who does that for his line of work.......it was cheaper than a trip to New York!!

I left the query on the message-board because I hoped that one of these days another descendent from my very wide-spread Gasquoine family would see it and get in touch.

My Gasquoine relatives (its my great-great-grandmother and a few of her children who died as infants) are buried in Section 71, Lot 12070 where there is a headstone with simply the name Gasquoine on it. I sent off for information to the Cemetery and got the pamphlets, map etc too.......the grounds certainly look well looked-after which is nice to know.

One of these days I might get to pay a visit from Australia. We actually had 4 days in New York in September, 2000 at the beginning of a month-long trip across the States by train, but that was before I began family history research, sadly. If only I'd known that I had family so close by.

Best wishes,

Helen in sunny Perth
Western Australia
