Found a death notice in the Brooklyn Eagle, Thursday, April 26, 1945. There was nothing published for the evening of April 25 or in the edition of April 27. No obit appeared.

DEATHS
O'DELL - April 25, 1945, MAURICE, beloved husband of Catherine Schiavo; devoted father of Patricia, Thomas and Eugene O'Dell. Reposing at John E. Duffy Funeral Home, Coney Island Avenue at Foster. Solemn requiem mass St. Rose of Lima Church, Saturday, 10 a.m. Interment St. John's Cemetery.
