This link was very very helpful! Thank you. We have now discovered that Thomas married Paul Gabler's wife, Mary Lenhardt, and adopted her four children. We do not have the documentation yet, but it seems Paul died fighting in WWI as we do not seem to be able to find a record of his death. We know they did not divorce because Mary married Tom under the surname Gabler rather than her maiden name.

Now, all that remains is to discovered the surnames of Mary's mother and grandmother, as well as her father's first name, and any brothers and sisters she may have had. We also are unsure where she was born but assuming it to be King's county again.

Any help would be most appreciated!
