You or Joseph posited a 1938 death date for her. Do you know where she died or where she is buried? If so, try to get her death certificate, which may list her parents' names. Also try the cemetery office to find out what mortuary &/or church handled her funeral, which you can then contact to see what additional information they might have.
You can revisit the census page listing young Thomas GABLER and note the street address written in the left margin. You may also check preceding census pages to see if Thomas's sisters might be enumerated in the same institution.
Try to find Thomas Conde's (Sr.) death record, too, to get his parents' names; I don't recall his birth year, but perhaps he survived long enough to have applied for a Social Security Number.
