By the 1900 census, Peter is already widowed, living at 134 Johnson by himself.

In the 1910 census, there is no new wife. Peter is listed at 134 Johnson St. as a widower. He has taken in a boarder, Theodore Mills, a 49 year old harbor pilot. At age 75, Peter still lists his occupation as jeweler, so presumably he is still working.
