Or rather, they did one in 1892 instead of in 1885 and 1895. Census
years were 1825, 1835, 1845, 1855, 1865, 1875, 1892, 1905, 1915, and
1925. Not all these censuses exist for all counties; in particular,
1855 is the earliest existing census for Madison County.
