On my one and only visit to New York State to date, I went to Mt. Hope to
find my grandmother's grave. The cemetery is HUGE, so I stopped in the
office. They looked her name up and gave me a map, highlighted to show me
the best way to get there.

After visiting the grave, I went back to the office to see if they had any
written record that might be useful. Oh, boy, did they! They were able to
show me that my grandmother's mother, sister, and a handful of other
relatives were buried in the same plot -- none of them (except my
grandmother) had grave markers and I *never* would have known they were all
there.

Anyway, do stop at the office. They were quick, friendly, extremely helpful
-- altogether, one of the best experiences of my visit. Public officials
everywhere should take lessons from them.
