Hi:

I am trying to assist a genealogist in Germany who is interested in tracing
the TRAUGOTT in the subject line. It is probable that he came to the
Rochester area about 1836, with, I believe his wife Philippina Catherine,
GOTTEL. The reason that we believe he came to the Rochester area is that he
had a relative, G. Christian TRAUGOTT, in Rochester, who was a founding
member of the ZION German Lutheran Church, and who is buried in Mt. Hope
Cemetery. G. Christian TRAUGOTT probably proceeded him to Rochester.
