Subject: Possible lookup in Rochester, N.Y., and/or Bay City, Michigan?

We are trying to determine the movements of one of our ancestors from
Rochester to Bay City and back circa 1880. Here is what we know . . .

Silas Curtis Bryant (AKA Silas C. H. Bryant - AKA Silas C. Hawley-Bryant)
left Rochester, Monroe County, New York, in 1879/80. He went to Bay City,
Bay County, Michigan. We know he eventually returned to Rochester as he died
there. However, we don't know when. We also know that he had a wife named
Elizabeth L. (Nee ???) Bryant, and she is buried with him in Mount Hope
Cemetery. Here is what we are looking for . . .

>From the Michigan end, any information that may appear in the Bay City
Directories for 1879/80, and continuing until he left. We would like to know
that year he appears in the directories there and the year he disappears.
Also, any other data regarding address, place of employment, whether
somebody else was living in the same residence, etc.

>From the Rochester end, a kind person located the information showing
Silas's departure, perhaps someone else with access to the Rochester
directories could look and note when Silas reappears there and whom, if
anyone, resides in the house with him, etc.
