Received the following from Anne Schaetzke at the Local History Room of
Rochester's Rundel Library regarding searches.. Contact her office at

I received the request that you sent me from Doug Little inquiring about obit
searching. I responded to his inquiry and I thought I would let you know,
too, what our policy is regarding genealogy searching. Due to our limited
staff we can do brief searching with a time limit of 1/2 hour. There is an
index to the Rochester papers that covers 1818-1903 -- and
basically that's it!! We can do searches like the one Mr. Little
requested; however, if we do find an obituary and the patron wants a copy of
it (taken from the microfilm) there is a $5.00 charge for it payable by check
to the Rochester Public Library, Local History Div.

We do have a short list of free-lance researchers available for a fee.
However, they are not professional genealogists.

David Minor (who is not on the above mentioned list).
