I have an autograph book that belonged to my Grandmother, Pearl Rosaline Roe Black.(b. 3-20-1877 d. 9-28-1911) On the first page is written "A. C. Smith Rochester New York" I think that must be the name of a school. I was told that she had gone to a finishing school. Does anyone have any info on this school? The autograph book is about 6in X 5in in the shape of a three dimensional bull mastiff dog. The molding is brown suede with glass eyes that seem to follow the reader. Its is precious and must have been the fad for young girls in the 1890s.
There are about 50 names dates, and addresses. If anyone would be interested, I would be glad to post them.
