To Bryce, and anyone else researching this name:
Saw your posting for RUDDOCK in Monroe County, NY. There may not be a
connection to what you are looking for here, but I will post it just in case
it helps.
In my database, I show the following RUDDOCK's and RUDDUCKS:
David RUDDOCK [no dates or places] married Abby J. GALLUP [b. January 25,
1836 [unknown location, no marriage date]. Their children included:
1. Laura RUDDOCK [no dates, b. Ohio, married Charles Wesley SWAIM, [no
further information at this time].
2. Cleopatra RUDDOCK [no dates, b. Ohio, married E.L. LACY].
Abby J. GALLUP, above, was a 3rd cousin of Lydia A. GALLUP [1805-1873][whom
I am researching] who married Dan G. BAILEY .[1806-1890] They both came from
New London County, Connecticut to Monroe County, New York.
Since family members ofted followed each other from place to place, I
thought this might give you some kind of lead to follow.

>From a completely different line, I have the following RUDDUCKS, which may
or may not be the same name. I am including it here on the off-chance that
you haven't run across this spelling:
John RUDDUCKS, b. 1714 [no locations or date of death] married Jane. Their
children were:
1. Dinah RUDDUCKS, [b. December 13, 1746 [location unknown] d, Abt 1831,
Guilford County, North Carolina. Married Moses Mendenhall [b. May 13, 1743,
Frederick County, Virginia, d. February 10, 1835, Springfield MM, Guilford
County, North Carolina.
2. Phebe RUDDUCKS, b. September 1, 1747, Frederick County, Virginia, d.
December 3, 1825, Guilford County, North Carolina.
Please forgive me if I have "muddied the waters", but in my own research I
often find that the strangest little bit of information often leads me in a
new direction which eventually helps me find what I am looking for. I have
quite a lot of information on the GALLUP family and some on the MENDENHALL's
if you find any sort of connection.
Good luck to all,
Jo Hubbard
