I understand the Catholic Church is very shorthanded as far as manpower goes
and that is probably why you never heard back from the four you wrote to.
The parish records have no doubt been filmed by LDS (you could check their
web site to find out), then you can rent the films at your local LDS library
and search the records yourself. It is even better to do your own research
because you often come across other events, such as births and deaths, in
the parish records.
