Anyone researching either of these names?

My mother-in-law has always spelled the surname as GEREW but I received
an SS-5 application copy today where her daughter listed her maiden name as
Lucy JEREW. Leicy GEREW is another way it has been seen. It is assumed her
first name was really Lucille but that could be incorrect. It is believed
that the surname may have been French?
Lucy married a man from Germany, Hermaine Maibohm. He was called Harry
here in the United States. It is said they had a cottage at Fair Haven.
