French's Gazetteer of 1860 lists a Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum, opened in
1842, that was under the charge of the Sisters of Mercy and located in the
rear of St. Patrick's Church (Platt and Plymouth Avenue North). Maybe someone
else on the list can tell you where St. Pat's records are today.
