2. Jackson & Perkins was located in Newark, Wayne Co. NY from 1872 to the
mid-1960s. Their rose garden was a local tourist attraction. They are now

3. The princliple button manufacturer was the Rochester Button Co., which
was once the country's largest. They were located on State St. opposite
Kodak Office until the 1970s or 1980s. The Rochester Museum and Science
Center has the Rochester Button corporate archives and they once had an
exhibit on the Rochester button industry. The following page mentions the
archives around the middle and has a number for research information near
the bottom:

There may have been other button manufacturers in Rochester. Another one
that I know of in Monroe Co. was the Great Lakes Button Co. in Brockport. I
don't know their history but they closed about the early 1960s as I recall.

I'm looking to find any source for the BAUSCH family ancestry of Bausch
& Laumb Optical Co Rochester.

I can find no listings in the1889 Directory database at ancestry.com.
