I'm not sure if this will help you narrow the field...
The WHOLE of the area including the Finger Lakes, Monroe County, Wayne
County, and surrounding counties had many orchards of various sorts. Wayne
Co. still has commercial orchards and canneries.

Just east of Parma is Greece that had many orchards before suburbs took over.
(Our house was built in what was an orchard, abt 1920). oh for peaches
right off the tree... Irondequoit was known for its melons. And cabbage
(and sauerkraut) from Brockport. And just about every single town in Wayne
county still has orchards - especially apples. And onions from Oswego County.
And then there are NY wines from the Finger Lakes....

ohh, do I miss all that fresh produce...
