Those in the Rochester area can see the contents in a display at the
Rochester Museum and Science Center. The contents were in excellent
condition. They are in drawers with sealed glass cases that were made by
the same company that made the original time capsule in 1876.
The most famous item in the time capsule was not on the official list of
contents. Some prankster had slipped an envelope containing a 19th-century
condom in a book.

Yes, the democrat & Chronicle has a search engine on their site.
Go to search, put in "time capsule," and then pick the first selection (if I
remember correctly).
Otherwise go to the URL http://www.rochestertimecapsule.com/,
you will get to the Time Capsule itself.
Thanks for sharing it with us!

Hi All,
Unfortunately, by the time I saw the e-mail about the Rochester Time
Capsule,
Saturday's edition of the D & C was already on-line. Does anyone know if
there is a way to go to archived articles?
Thanks!
