Jim,

The Monroe wills are in very clear handwritings. They are rewritten
from originals. The original transcribers (somebody in Monroe County
Courthouse at the time were at the fault.) The handwriting is telltale
because it's same style over many volumes, indicating the originals
were locked away and the public can see only what had been transcribed
from. I can see some are obviously mis-transcribed but I can't alter
what is written.

Anyone who already received photocopies can tell you that the
handwriting have been constantly clear. Except one volume I know of
that was ridiculous backward slanted but neat. I had to read with
my head tilted while indexing.

So, in your case, you can make a "response" to the will that had been
posted, listing corrections since you know YOUR family.

Daniel Claffy's will was recently posted to Monroe Co. Wills for me by
Sampubco and contains several errors due to their difficulty in
reading the writing, according to Sampubco. At your convenience will
you please make the following significant corrections:

Line 1: "I, DANIEL Claffy" (not David)

Line 4: "unto my wife Eliza DELANEY Claffy" (not Delancy)

Line 7: "Eliza DELANEY" (not Delancy)

Line 12: "my late brother James CLAFFY" (not Cliffy)

Line 19: "Eliza DELANEY Claffy" (not Delancy)

Thank you for your assistance in correcting this document
