Thought I would throw this one out to everyone also....

Harmon WHITAKER died in 1860 - buried in Smith Cemetery Penfield, NY
and his wife Anna Pituey/Pitney died in 1870 buried in Smith Cemetery also.

Need to know where they came from....some records say that three of their children were born in Vermont but can't find any census that confirms this.
Would it not be Vermont back in 1845-50? Any help would be appreciated.
