List members,
I posted the following message on the Monroe Co. message board at
Rootsweb on March 4th. It evidently was not picked up by this list ( it isn`t
in the archives),so I have joined you & am posting it here today. I`m hoping
someone will be able to help. Since I posted I have have been given 1860
census info. on the family; they are in Monroe Co.,Ogden Township. John R.
Barrett is 39,wife Mary 36 & son Ward is 6. On the same page is John Barrett
72 & wife Martha 63.

I am looking for information on Ward Barrett who was a lawyer in Rochester in
the late 1800`s & early 1900`s. I have an old , undated, news clipping giving
the terms of his will; he had a considerable estate,part of which he left to
Rochester charities & part to my greatgrandmother & her two sons. On the 1880
census he is age 26, living with his father & mother John & Mary Barrett in
Rochester. I would like any information on Ward Barrett,including 1900, 1870
& 1860 census info., biography & obit. I am trying to determine his
relationship to my greatgrandmother, Nellie Skeels Stowell. Any help much
appreciated.
