My husbands Amans also came from Rochester, NY. Lillian Aman Welch was married to Patrick Welch. My husbands Great Grandparents. Lillians parents were George Anthony Amon born 1838 married Catherine Mary Herman 1866. George's parents were Benedict Aman and Barbara Moser. Benedict and /Barbara Moser had 11 children. George Anthony, Martin, Anna Marie, Joseph, Benedict, Barbara Gertrue, another Joseph, Jacob, Margaretta, Amelia and John Caspar. I started on the Aman line a few months ago I have found the bap records of Benedict's family on the church records for the St. Josephs' Cathloic in Rochester, NY I have some films at the Family history Lib. that I keep finding more Amans/Hermans and Moser families. I would be interested in knowing your Aman line. Sandy from Victor NY.
