Subject: [NYMONROE-L] Rochester Genealogical Society February Meetings
Date: Tue, 11 Feb 2003 22:15:27 EST
Friends,
The RGS Computer Interest Group will meet Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, 7:00 PM at
Brighton High School, Room 262.
Park in the Winton Road lot (1150 Winton Road), go in the side door and then
upstairs.
Larry Lavery, RGS member, will do a presentation on researching ROOTSWEB
after our technical discussion and sharing of hot tips on software, hardware
and genealogical topics.
For the main RGS meeting, the following notice has been sent to libraries and
other groups:
You are cordially invited to attend the next meeting of the Rochester
Genealogical Society’s 2002 - 2003 season. It will be held Thursday, February
20, 2003 in the Fellowship Hall of the Asbury First United Methodist Church,
1050 East Avenue.
The meeting begins at 7:00 P.M.; attendance is free and everyone is welcome
to attend!
For the Mini-Talk, Dr. Thomas Greenfield, Professor of English and former
Dean of the College at Geneseo and accompanist, Dorothy Petrie, will
entertain us with a folk music presentation titled “Relative Merits: Song
about Families, Friends and Others.”
The Main Program will feature the Genealogical Education Committee (formerly
Greater Rochester Genealogical Educators) in their annual “Stump the
Experts(?) Night.” Bring your genealogical questions and problems for a fun
evening of problem sharing and, hopefully, problem solving.
