Hi there fellow Rooters!!!!!
I am searching for some how to find ideas.......
I have a great Uncle James Glenny who lived in Monroe Co Rochchester New
York....... I have found him on the 1900-1910-1920 Census... And know that
he was alive in April of 1929 as he was listed on my Great Grandmothers Obit.
(His sister)
I know that he remarried between 1910 and 1920 as the wifes age changed on
the Census... In the 1920 Census her mother was living with them --however I
cant read the name on the Census... (Its dist 159 Monroe Co. Page 11b for
those who might want to take a shot at it)
I also know that he lived in Monroe Co. and don't have any doubt that he must
have died there also....But I have no idea when.
I have been unable to locate him or the wife in the 1930 Census so he might
have passed between the 2 Census Decades.
Is there any place I might send for any property records or probate records
in Rochester? Or anywhere I might be able to have someone assist me in
locating an obit record for him? Most places want a date and I am unable to
provide that....
I know that the second wife owned a business there as a decorator in 1920,
maybe a Directory.... Both his wives seemed to be Artist in some way-- his
first wife was also an artist in a Studio...
Also--- where might I find Naturalzation Papers as he was born in Ireland--
and Census say he was Natuaralized -- Or would I also need a date for that?
If anyone out there has any ideas for me I would Aprreciate it...
Thanks
