Looking for any information on the family of James Bedell (1816 - 1896) and Mary Ann Sperbeck (1823-1915). James was purportedly born in Cayuga County, NY but lived from approximately 1820 until 1849 in Monroe County. He and his family then returned to Cayuga County. James and Mary had at least three children who were born in Monroe County: Wealthy (1842), Mary (1843), and Louisa (1848). James is believed to have traveled to Monroe County with additional family members. It is probable that James is the son of another James Bedell (alternately spelled James Beedle). I do not know where in Monroe County the family resided. Does anyone have information on this or related families?
